The calculators
Every calculator on OutTheDoorCalc runs entirely in your browser. The prices and details you enter are never sent to a server and never stored — close the tab and they are gone.
Email list
If you subscribe to one of our checklists, we store your email address to send that checklist and occasional updates when fee schedules change. We do not sell email addresses. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Analytics and advertising
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which state calculators are used, in aggregate. If advertising is shown on this site, advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve and measure ads; you can control cookies in your browser settings and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com. No data from the calculators themselves is shared with advertisers.
Third-party links
Our pages link to official state websites (tax commissions, DMVs, statutes) for source material. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
